Sustainable Environmental Conference Management System – Briefing Documents

Upon request of Federal Ministry for the Environment (BMUB), prepared briefing documents on the environmental management system used during COP23, and, leading up to COP24 Katowice, Poland, to brief UNFCCC and cooperating organizations on benefits, fundamental legal and logistic requirements, implementation and process management (incl. communications with relevant stakeholders) and overall critical aspects based on experiences from COP23 on using the EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) as a framework and certification system for conferences’ sustainable environmental management system.
