- One of the largest mental health care providers for adolescent psychiatric services in Southern Limburg (The Netherlands) – ~11,000 patients in 2015, with a turnover of >100 € mil
- Rapid external developments increased pressure on operations:
- policy reform introducing pro-competitive measures
- regulatory pressures to shift from (expensive) inpatient to (cheaper) outpatient care
- new competitors entering the market
- lower municipal budgets for child and youth mental health services
