Loving to Win or Hating to Lose – What drives you?

Loving to Win or Hating to Lose - Brussels Rainbow Crosswalk

If you live just to not get passed by by others, you are likely doing and accomplishing just the bare minimum to stay at or slightly above the average. The direction and pace of your progress is determined by others and will only be incremental. When they move, you move. When they change direction, you adjust alike. Otherwise, you could fall behind in comparison, and lose. Always having to observe the external environment and reacting to its development, you are constantly living in stress. When, by chance, you are a step ahead, you just stop and hoard your spare resources, thinking about others might catching up to you, if you would help them.

If you are driven by loving to win, you most probably set out your own goals, determine the direction towards which progression means winning for you. You put all your efforts into pursuing your goals, pro-active and self-reliant, with a real chance of making radical, life-changing progress at times. Knowing that you yourself is your greatest asset, when you need to, you slow down and take some time for renewal. If you feel your inner compass’ indicating a change of course, you simply and effortlessly follow along with your endeavours, because the route to success might have changed, but not your underlying core values. Taking responsibility for setting out and going after your goals, at times that you have some spare resources, you abundantly give it to others to help them pursue their goals, to win in their own lives. Next time, when you are in need of something, maybe they help you out, having resources left themselves after their own big win. If they win, you win.
